Suicide Squad wins again

By Kenny Howell

As kids find their way back to school, the box office suffers, but it didn't stop Suicide Squad from winning its third week in a row at the box office.

The DC film only made $20.7 million but it was enough to hold enough another returning film, the animated raunch fest Sausage Party. The Seth Rogen-Evan Goldberg movie added another $15.3 million to its total.

Rounding out the top five is three new films, one of which looks like box office bust. War Dogs was the top newcomer with $14.3 million, followed by the animated film Kubo and the Two Strings with $12.6 million. In fifth is Ben-Hur, a movie which cost $100 million to make, and only got back $11.4 million. Honestly, for someone who writes and reads about movies, I have yet to see an advertisement or trailer for this movie. It's not something that I would seek out, but still. Should have seen something in passing.
