New Trailer: Rogue One: A Star Wars Story

By Kenny Howell

The first of the Star Wars standalone films is here to confuse people, as the trailer for Rogue One: A Star Wars Story dropped a few days ago. It is set in between Episode III and IV, so it is years before the current series which is at episode VIII. So, yeah, casual Star Wars fans or moviegoers might be confused (where is Rey!).

The cast is stellar, probably better than the trilogy series right now. It stars Felicity Jones (The Theory of Everything), Riz Ahmed (Nightcrawler), Ben Mendelsohn (Black Sea), Mads Mikkelsen (The Salvation), Diego Luna (Elysium), James Earl Jones (Star Wars) and Forest Whitaker (Two Men in Town).

Looks fun enough, and will be good filler until Episode VIII comes along in 2017. Rogue One: A Star Wars Story is directed by Gareth Edwards (Godzilla) and is set to release Dec. 16.
